Club Closed - Operating under Alert Level 3, step 2 restrictions
It has certainly been a long time since we closed the doors due to COVID-19 Level 4 restrictions back on 17th August 2021.
We hope that everyone is safe and healthy and is doing well during this very trying time.
Following recent announcements by the Government, it looks like the Club will be able to open its doors once
again as Auckland reaches 90% double vaccinated and we go into the new traffic light system.
Under the traffic light system, the rules vary depending on whether your organization adopts the vaccination certificate policy or not.
The Executive Committee has discussed this matter and has decided that the Pukekohe Cosmopolitan Club WILL adopt the vaccination certificate policy.
It was not an easy decision to make as the Committee certainly did not want to exclude any members from being able to come to the Club.
However, being in a ‘higher risk’ industry they felt the benefits both financially and more importantly, the health benefits (for both staff and members) justified this decision.
HOW IT WORKS….
Under ‘red’ light with the vaccination certificate policy, the Club can open with a maximum of 100 people and 1 metre social distancing.
Under ‘Orange’ light with the vaccination certificate policy the Club can open with NO restrictions.
Under ‘Green’ light with the vaccination certificate policy, the Club can open with NO restrictions.
Regardless of whether we are operating under red, orange, or green light those eligible people who are NOT fully vaccinated will not be able to enter the Club premises.
You will be asked to present evidence (either electronically or manual) of your vaccination status upon entering the Club.
At all settings scanning or signing the register at the door is still required, and wearing of masks is encouraged in indoor settings.
The Government is set to make further announcements on November 29th to let us know when the traffic light system will commence and when we can then open our doors.
More details will be advised at this time.
